Slavic Bestiary
Sixty creatures.
Then it closes.
Collectible cards of Slavic folklore, issued in fixed editions and never reprinted. Every specimen is listed publicly — its number, its date, and everyone who has ever held it.

Pick a drawer and you see the empty mounts too. The gaps are the point — you will always know exactly what you do not have.
Two sides, two registers

Front — the catalogue entry
The creature and nothing else. This is how it is recorded.

It has sat beneath the weir since the mill stopped. It never comes ashore — it waits for someone to wade in knee-deep.
Provenance
Back — the trace of an encounter
Its numbers and its whole history, over something seen far too close. The living back is itself how you tell a rare one.
The pledge
Sixty creatures, and then the region is shut.
Sixty, finally
Ten to each domain. Not sixty to begin with — sixty, finally. When the sixtieth is issued nothing is ever added.
Never reprinted
Every edition is a hard cap. A sold-out edition does not return in a new colour, and is not quietly extended because a creature turned out popular.
A public register
Every specimen ever issued is listed with its owner and its whole history, generated from the records that issue the cards.
No promises about money
We make no claim that any card will be worth more later. The scarcity is here so that collecting something finite feels like something.

Three of you take a story together. Your vote decides what you do; the cards you field decide how it goes for you.
What happens becomes a comic — your run, your losses, your creatures on the page. The branch you did not take is drawn and will never be shown to you.
The first drop has not opened.
One email when it does. Nothing else, ever.
